GUIDE SNES fighting

Amazing Hebereke

Amazing Hebereke (Japanese title: Sugoi Hebereke) is a 1994 fighting game developed and published by Sunsoft for the Super Famicom, released only in Japan. It is a spin-off of Ufouria: The Saga and the third installment in the Hebereke series. Given its Japan-only release, this genre entry departs from the platformer/run-and-gun framing used for most of this coverage set — the "fighting game" structure below reflects that this is a versus-battle title rather than a stage-progression platformer, per the task's allowance to adapt format to genre.

Availability: Nintendo Switch Online — Super Nintendo Entertainment System app (Nintendo Classics)

This is a systems/mechanics guide rather than a linear walkthrough — a fixed step-by-step route isn't the useful format for a fighting title.

Controls

Default button mapping: A is attack, B is punch, X is kick, Y is jump. Each character has two special moves and one super move. Controls can be remapped in an in-game Controls menu.

Characters

Eight characters make up the roster. Confirmed characters include: Hebe (a small white male penguin), O-Chan/Oh-chan (a girl in a cat suit), Sukezaemon (a white ghost with black sunglasses and a red winged cap), and Jennifer (a yellow anglerfish with an antenna).

Multiplayer

Amazing Hebereke supports 4-player simultaneous multiplayer — one of relatively few SNES games to do so — and is the first entry in the Hebereke series to support 4-player play.

Progression / Structure

Whether the game has a single-player arcade/story-ladder mode (versus AI opponents) and how many rounds/opponents it contains was not confirmed from the sources accessed in this research pass.

"Bosses" (if applicable)

Whether a single-player mode features a final/boss-tier opponent distinct from the regular playable roster was not confirmed.

Trouble Spots / Notes for English-Speaking Players

This title had no official English localization at the time of its original Super Famicom release; it later became available internationally via Nintendo Switch Online, per search-result summaries, though this detail was not independently verified against a primary source in this pass. Given the Japan-only original release and thin English-language documentation, this is one of the harder titles in this set to source deeply — flagged per the task's guidance for niche/JP-only titles.
