Why this patch exists
Purpose
Bandai Namco: Patch 1.17 brings support for the Tarnished Pack DLC, scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2026, and implements gameplay balance adjustments. “Please apply the latest update before playing.” After applying: App Ver. 1.17 / Regulation Ver. 1.17. “This update is required for online play.”

Starting classes
Idus Knight and Heavy Knight, selectable during character creation. “The equipment of each new starting class can also be obtained by purchasing it from merchants in the Lands Between or by finding it in the world.”

Three types that change Torrent’s appearance. Tree Sentinel Spectral Steed Attire: found in Stormveil Castle. Silver of Caria Spectral Steed Attire: found in Liurnia of the Lakes. Funereal Night Spectral Steed Attire: found in Altus Plateau. After obtaining any one, a Site of Grace menu option is added to change the spectral steed’s appearance.

Other official 1.17 changes
The same notes also change certain Realm of Shadow field/boss treasures to higher-tier items or other treasures (items already found are not changed), then list weapon, skill, sorcery, incantation, PvP-exclusive, and bug-fix lines. PixelQuest does not convert that list into a tier or “what to use.” Read the official patch page for the named weapons and numbers.
