Suits are tools, not a meta
The NES booklet and Nintendo Power Vol. 13 describe transformation items. Wear what the stage is asking for. PixelQuest will not publish a “best suit.”
Raccoon / Super Leaf
The booklet’s signature new move: Raccoon Mario can take off. Use it when a stage has a long runway and a high secret. Do not assume every hidden block requires flight.
CONFIRMED — Super Mario Bros. 3 NES instruction booklet (Raccoon Mario / Super Leaf)Tanooki, Frog, Hammer, Fire
Tanooki adds a statue form. Frog is for water. Hammer throws hammers. Fire Flower is the returning fireball form. Pick the suit that matches the terrain in front of you, then swap on the map if you stored another.
CONFIRMED — NES instruction booklet item / transformation sectionP-Wing
Nintendo Power treats the P-Wing as a stored flight item, not a default drop. Hold it for a stage where you know you need prolonged flight. PixelQuest does not claim it lasts “the whole game.”
CONFIRMED as an item — Nintendo Power Vol. 13 (P-Wing in White Mushroom Houses on odd worlds)Music Box
Nintendo Power: the Music Box puts wandering Hammer Bros. to sleep. It is a map item, not a stage suit. NP13 also calls it “not a particularly useful item.” PixelQuest will not oversell it.
CONFIRMED — Nintendo Power Vol. 13White Mushroom Houses
Nintendo Power Vol. 13: in some stages, collecting over a certain number of coins makes a White Mushroom House appear on the map. Odd-numbered worlds: P-Wing inside. Even-numbered worlds: Anchor. PixelQuest is not shipping the full per-stage coin table in this batch.
CONFIRMED mechanic — Nintendo Power Vol. 13; complete coin table DEFERREDAnchor
The even-world White House reward is an Anchor. Treat it as a map item that interacts with airships. Exact airship-lock behavior beyond that line is not restated here without the booklet/Power paragraph in front of us.
CONFIRMED reward name — Nintendo Power Vol. 13; full airship rule = needs booklet line
