Three whistles, one Warp Zone
Nintendo Power Volume 13 — Nintendo of America’s official Super Mario Bros. 3 strategy issue — says the three Magic Whistles take Mario to World 9, the Warp Zone. That is the mechanic. Hiding spots are a later, evidence-checked page, not this batch.
What a Magic Whistle does
Use a Magic Whistle from the item inventory on the map (not inside a stage) and Mario is sent to World 9. World 9 is the Warp Zone, not an extra story kingdom. From there you pick a later world pipe.
CONFIRMED — Nintendo Power Vol. 13: “The three Magic Whistles take Mario to World 9, the Warp Zone”Why / when
Use a whistle when you already know early kingdoms and want to skip map grind. Using the first whistle from World 1 is the usual “jump ahead” case. Saving all three for later is optional; PixelQuest is not publishing a ranked spend order.
PLAYER GUIDANCE — built from the official Warp Zone descriptionThere are three
Nintendo Power states there are three, and that they are well hidden. This page does not invent a fourth whistle and does not copy community-only clip routes as if they were booklet text.
CONFIRMED count — Nintendo Power Vol. 13Locations: not shipped this batch
NP13 does document hides. PixelQuest is not restating those stage-by-stage in this first cluster, because a partial hide list is worse than a labeled “open the Power issue / a later PixelQuest page.” High-intent here is what the item does.
DEFERRED — complete whistle hunt not in batch 1Version caveat
This is NES Super Mario Bros. 3 as listed on Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Classics. Super Mario Advance 4 (GBA) and Super Mario All-Stars (SNES) are different packages. Do not assume e-Reader or All-Stars extras exist on the NES Classics listing.
CONFIRMED — Nintendo NES Classics store lists the NES game; Advance 4 is GBA Nintendo Classics, out of this packet
